Do you Accept Private Insurance?
No, we do not accept insurance. Our approach to healthcare establishes a direct, personal relationship between you and your healthcare provider. This approach should extend to our business model as well. Just as you wouldn’t use auto insurance for routine maintenance like an oil change, using health insurance for routine healthcare services like physicals and office visits doesn’t make sense. We choose not to accept insurance payments to spare our patients from the constraints and intrusions associated with insurance.
Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?
Lake Avenue Wellness operates under a direct primary care (DPC) model, whereby we contract directly with patients and do not seek reimbursement from private insurance, third-party payors, Medicare, or Medicaid. This approach enhances the office visit experience and eliminates the constraints and administrative expenses associated with traditional insurance and third-party payers.
I Don’t have Insurance. Can I still be a Member?
Yes, you can still join us regardless of your insurance status. Since we operate outside the insurance system, we need to find a way to ensure the care we provide is eligible for insurance reimbursement. However, we recommend that everyone maintain insurance coverage for significant health issues.
